... I need to prepare for the work week. I blame myself for not doing anything productive. And I don't know why.
watched several new TED talsk. I've subscribed to TED via the feedly RSS web and mobile app. Attended a meeting with collegues from Almaty, Moscow and Milan. It was very stressful to listen to our subcontractor failing to meet deadlines and providing not very specific contract offer.Had a long practice of English speaking with my wife via WhatsApp video call. A couple of months ago it was hard and uncomfortable to speak in English, because we used to speak in Russian to each other, however we both know English. Funny, that it is easier to convey high level concepts but not the mundane everyday words and phrases about house routines.This texts starts to grow a lot. So I must to stop forcefully and switch to cleaning and doing laundry, because today is Saturday and I am writing about Friday…
... my left temporal nerve frozen and now it aches suddenly after 5 minutes, unpleasant. To cope with that I drink a lot of tea, herbal tea. But my sleep was only less than six hours. I've seen a very weird and interesting dream about nuclear rocket crash.
My relative gave me a book about Huawei's journey, called Pioneers, it's written in or translated to English. Looks interesting.
Still I need to practice speaking. Actually I am looking for a speaking partner in Astana to prepare for speaking IELTS together.
A colleague gave me advice yesterday to practice tong twisters and to practice speaking my myself.
The great advice from a TED talk to include practice of something into the leisure activity.
Consistency is king
Friday and Saturday were busy, sleeping, trying to recover from a hard work week.
Listened to one hour of a "Thinking Fast and Slow" book by Daniel Kahneman.
And I listened to one podcast.
I was first, soon other people started arriving. A security guard started to people's last names and invited in for security check.
1. Security check.
The guard said that they cannot store a laptop, but fortunately. I haven't carried my laptop with me that day. I've put all my belonging into my bag and took just passport, DS-160 application paper, copy of plain electronic tickets, employment certificate with salary included, bank statement for the last 6 months (it can be done in Kaspi online), hostel booking confirmation (dates, addresses).
