LED lighting manufacturer Dialight has secured two major orders in recent weeks that emphasize its focus on supplying LED fixtures to challenging or hazardous locations. Both orders are for more than 1000 fixtures each, with one being for a solar-thermal power plant in a desert location, and the other being for an onshore drilling rig. The company has also introduced a 25,000-lumen high-bay fixture that comes with a 10-year warranty. Dialight will provide in excess of 1000 LED lighting fixtures for installation at a 250 megawatt (MW) solar-thermal power plant in California, US. The total contract value is approximately $400,000. Solar Lanterns with chargeable battery having LEDs

The traditional pressure cooker is also an energy efficient device for cooking purpose. They are also fast, fuel saving and once the pressure cooker gets its pressure we have not to heat on full. Pressure cookers preserve the nutritional elements of the food. People living at high altitudes where the pressure is low can use it more. On an average pressure cooker cook food about 70% faster than conventional cooking. Faster cooking means less energy use which means less money spent.Standing seamroofclampff is attached by clamping to a roof deck capable of supporting 3600 lbs. Christmas Village shines with community pride for 25 years

Every year for the past quarter century, hundreds of people flock to the opening night of Christmas Village in Irvine Park with their families Thanksgiving night. It’s no surprise the 60,000 lights and 195 traditional Christmas displays — everything from a nativity scene to Victorian-era hospitals and children skating on a pond — draw thousands to the city each holiday season. The Ball family of Chippewa Falls brought more than a dozen children to usher in the holiday season on Thursday. "We think it's awesome," said Barb Ball. "Our family loves it. Every one of us." "It's really the start of Christmas for us," said her daughter-in-law, Kathy Ball. "We come on Thanksgiving night every year," said Sheila Volker. "It gets bigger and better every year." With more displays and scenes than eve…

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6L Performance Rocky Mountain

Bringing up the names of small Cadillacs of the past doesn’t exactly inspire confidence – the Cimarron and Catera from years past don’t conjure up images of high performance, luxury sport sedans. With this in mind, Cadillac had some past history to overcome as they set out to create an all-new small sport sedan. Enter the Cadillac ATS. A long-gone sister brand to Cadillac coined the slogan “this is not your father’s Oldsmobile.” And in the case of the ATS,Learn how contemporarylamp work and how you benefit from it. to borrow the phrase, this is most definitely not your father’s Cadillac. The ATS is the first vehicle to use GM’s all-new compact-midsize Alpha Platform, so not only is the car brand new, so is the platform on which it’s built. This new baby Cadillac is available in a fairly d…

Add task lighting when remodeling

Overhead lights wash a room with light. Sunlight that peeks through windows brightens up a space. But they're rarely enough to make a room comfortable enough for cooking, reading or sewing. Decorative lights make a room look nice, but they're not as practical today as they once were, especially in the kitchen. We used to cook in one room and eat in another, so we were in and out of the kitchen in a hurry. Today, we spend much more time in the kitchen, keeping the cook company while he or she prepares our meals, hovering around the chips and dip during a house party, and even spending more time preparing food and involving more people in the process. So we need more light than we used to. Add "lighting" to your contractor's to-do list, and carefully consider where you will place each fixtu…

Escondido closing part of Maple plaza to traffic

Because of safety concerns and complaints from a nearby bank, Escondido officials say they will permanently close the northern half of downtown’s Maple Street Pedestrian Plaza to vehicles. The city also plans to build a special access lane just west of the $2.9 million plaza for businesses that have complained that closing Maple has inconvenienced customers and made deliveries difficult. City officials characterized the changes as a compromise aimed at solving some growing pains for the elaborate stone plaza. The plaza opened in early September. It was built across a block of Maple Street, previously a two-way street there connecting Grand Avenue and Valley Parkway. The city envisioned it as a central gathering place. City officials paid for part of the project with a $945,000 grant they…

Choosing Survival

Blaming a fossil-fuel economy on individual consumers, though, fundamentally misrepresents the nature of consumer choice. When the reader claims,Our Dimmable LED seamroofclampp are a great product for a variety of applications, “Mostly, people choose to use energy rather than to disconnect from it,” his use of the word “choose” is misleading. It implies that the consumer has been given two feasible options and has chosen one over the other. How far such a model is from the truth comes into sharp focus in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. For those in New York City left stranded without power, no electricity or gas often means no heat. No heat, on a November night in New England, is not an option. This is not consumer choice. This is survival. The same misunderstanding of consumer choice d…

Futuristic Technology Used To Build NASA’s Space Launch System

NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. is using a method called selective laser melting, or SLM, to create intricate metal parts for America’s next heavy-lift rocket. Using this state-of-the-art technique will benefit the agency by saving millions in manufacturing costs. NASA is building the Space Launch System or SLS — a rocket managed at the Marshall Center and designed to take humans, equipment and experiments beyond low Earth orbit to nearby asteroids and eventually to Mars. SLM is similar to 3-D printing and is the future of manufacturing. “Basically, this machine takes metal powder and uses a high-energy laser to melt it in a designed pattern,” says Ken Cooper, advanced manufacturing team lead at the Marshall Center. “The laser will layer the melted dust to fuse wha…
