Hi girls! So many blogs for today :) Now my blog is about differences between Metaphor & Simile, in oppinion of different authors. I like their opinions & i want to show you them. "Writers sometimes use similes and metaphors to help create a vivid image in the reader's mind. A simile compares two things using the word like or as. Simile: My father grumbles like a bear in the mornings. A metaphor also compares two things, but it does not use the word like or as. Metaphor: My father is a bear in the mornings. Hi dears. Im gonna speak about Metaphor's subtypes. There is one subtype, its called Personification, in which inanimate objects or abstract ideas are indirectly compared to human  beings. fEx: Time runs. Also there is a subtype of personification which called Metagoge, in which abstact ideas, animate or inanimate objects are described feelings like human beings. fEx: My phone got defended. I like the way of using P. & M. In my opinion these SDs can be used the oral speech more often than simple Metaphor. It make speech more vivid. I like it!

Sorry for being too late. Shame on me. I just didnt know how to post here :) Its first time for me when i post in blog. I like this idea to use blog during studing stylistics. I know some general information about stylistics such as: stylistics is a branch of linguistics, which deals with stylistic devices. What do i know about SDs? There are a lot of them, they make our speech more brightful & colourful. Its useful to know how to use them & in which situations. I hope using blog will be interesting & will be a new level of our studing stylistics. Thanks for your attention, guys!
