Consumer Reports tests CFL and LED light bulbs

It will soon be lights out for traditional light bulbs. New regulations on energy efficiency take effect in January and standard incandescent bulbs will be phased out.

Consumer Reports has been testing alternatives to incandescent light bulbs, including LEDs and CFLs. There are some illuminating differences between bulbs.

Consumer Reports' Kimberly Janeway is evaluating some of the latest led bulbs in her home.
