Phonetic SDs and phono-graphical EMs
At the last lecture we discussed about Phonetic SDs and graphical EMs. Also, we studied how distinguish them in the sentences. They are: Rhyme is the repetition of identical ending sound combination. F.e: might-right. Rhythm is the repetition of similar sound stressed and unstressed syllables in poetry. F.e:The curfew tolls the knell of parting day. Alliteretion is repetittion of similar consonant sounds to impart a melodic effect to an utterance. F,e: spring, sudden and sentence. Assonance is repetition of similar vowel sounds to impart a melodic effect to an utterance. F.e: appear and mean, gain and brain.
