Trip from LA

I am flying back from my vacation in LA. I am completely blown away with fun and great time I had during this vacation. It was very very relaxing. One thing to note – I will take one day more for vacation next time.
It was overwhelmingly good. I now should remember this amazing time, and really work. Do not have big vacation until you get your promotion. So thoughts from my Kellogg trip:
- Get yourself a second job – babysitter, lyft, experience provider, gmat tutor
- Find yourself a mentor – very soon – in the organization and outside
- Go to meetups to meet guys – fast and soon, very soon
- Volunteering, decide very fast where are you going to concentrate your volunteering activities – donate money to robotics challenge, or get another volunteering- reputation activity
So far my volunteering was focused on – helping Aza. It did take a lot of energy and power from me. Now I need to finish helping him, in the next 2 weeks. Then focus on another option. What will it be?
Thoughts from LA trip:
- Leveraging Airbnb will be fun. This is how I can do it: get my guests as focus groups. Really want to do my Kazakh felt project. Get Magic experience project, link it to Kazakhstan, become famous, publish a book
- I really want to publish a book
- Storytelling is so important. Nail the storytelling part. OMG, great storytellers
How will I put it all on one table? How do I make all of these things happen? I have a lot of great experiences. I am comfortable, and good in social places. I know and see ways to excel to get where I want to be. I am interested and excited about so many things. I want to do all of them. How do get to the best place? How do I satisfy my hunger to work and make these things a reality. How to prioritize.
Priorities are:
- Job and mentor. Don’t spend a lot of time at work. Spend quality time at work. Get yourself help very fast with a junior product manager. At work be decisive, don’t spend time on unnnessery things. Hit the target, build a brand. Be confident and act as a manager, not doer. Laser focus and attention. Throw a kiss, fire a gun at work. Ada unstoppable at work. Yay! Accept inconsistencies and problems. Get Andrea completely on board, and work as partners, make things happen. Act with confidence. Be laser focused until you established yourself a brand, credentials, and get the promotion
- Build an app and start making money with it. Deadline: February 14th
- Go and socialize with Ira. Don’t think, just follow Ira. Make it happen. Introduce Ira to Enlik.
- Decide about volunteering – reputation project. You are going to chose one reputation project – meaning you will be on the panels and in articles, and will be visible person all together. Very respected, very admired.
- All of the above are for the week days. For Saturday - get yourself a second job – sitter or Airbnb experience. The job that will give you money, and will make you relaxed and fulfilled. In a worst case scenario do uber or lyft.
- This is all till February 14th. After that new horizons.
My wish:
Ada got promoted to the position of Director Product, content and economy.
Ada became stronger in capoeira. She is a strong capoeirista now
Ada published a game in the apple store, and received her first transaction.
Ada invested 10K as a long term investment
Ada tried and liked her second job that she does on Saturdays.
Ada is active and meeting different people. She is active with Ira on many fronts.
And after Feb 14th, Ada:
Ada is establishing a strong reputation in the industry as a leader, expert, rising star, and inspiration. Ha. I think this could be a better way to meet cool people.
Ada is leading a major social goal. This is how I will meet cool people. Yes!
Okay March 1st, 2 of my goals have been achieved:
- invest 10K
- active with Ira on many fronts
