"The Power of words" open-seminar

On December 20,2019, first-year master students of the specialty “ 7M01704 -two foreign languages”, under the guidance of Marina Zhambulovna, a teacher in the discipline of the Modern Methodology of Foreign language Education, held a training seminar.
The main goal was to guide each teacher in each lesson in foreign language teaching process, to teach students a certain number of new words, that is, to familiarize them with the methods intended for developing the vocabulary of a student, to suggest ways to use it. Exchanging with experience
Knowledge is what moves human society forward, only knowledge contributes to the emergence of a bright future. By studying the languages of other countries of the people, we can find this bright future.
The head of the Department and teachers of the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages, as well as undergraduates from other groups, were invited to the Training Seminar.
During the training seminar, organizers distributed scientific evidence based knowledge gained in the discipline, presented the most effective methods and techniques for teaching a foreign language in accordance with modern educational programs.
One of the main tasks in teaching a foreign language is the correct selection of words for each level in order to preserve in memory new words learned during reading.
During the seminar-training, the game “Hot seat” was used, a special online program “Quizzlet”, flash card (cards with pictures).
By the end of the training workshop, answers were given to the question of what result can be achieved using these methods.
Also, the participants of the training seminar shared their views on these techniques. At the end of the training workshop, participants were awarded with certificates of participation.
