Just for note?

Each of us, at least once in our life, came across actions or events that are committed not by a great desire or necessity but simply for the checkmark in the documents. We encounter similar events everyday no matter whether you are studying or working. Perhaps, at large enterprises, such events happen even more often. However, even behind the stage of the orchestrated "spectacle" that is not very noticeable at first glance, there may be a concealment playing into the hands of the “puppeteer”.

There is an old good saying "The greatest nonsense is always done with a clever face." This was the case at the Temirtau city-forming company, ArcelorMittal Temirtau, when the personnel director Anna Adom gave the briquetting section for the scrap of the converter shop to Keramet-Kazakstan LLP. Accordingly, the transfer of assets was agreed with AMT Director Paramzhit Kalon. Note that the LLP "Keramet-Kazahstanskaya" itself is a branch of the Ukrainian firm PJSC "Keramet" and is engaged in the recycling of raw materials. At first glance, Anna Adom, pursued a noble goal, intending to restore order in the enterprise and also to put an end to the theft of products in the scrap yard of JSC ArcelorMittal Temirtau. However, the picture came out if not directly opposite, then very incomprehensible. So, after some time it turned out that the firm does not think to do the proper thing. No security was organized, moreover, on August 17 in the territory of the scrap yard in an abandoned room, ready rolled products of the plant were found with a weight of about 300 tons, which was not reflected in any documents. After such findings, the place was investigated by East police department of the Temirtau ATC.

Do you see what’s going on here? In a territory that is formally subordinated to a company engaged in the recycling process, a large amount of unrecorded "final products" were found, which can then be sold at the price of scrap metal. Of course, we are not saying that is what actually happened, final verdict to be delivered by law enforcement agencies. However, this scheme looks extremely suspicious. What was the purpose of optimization, initiated by Anna Adom? Obviously, it's no good, because the task of preventing embezzlement on the enterprise has not been solved and if it is not resolved, it may be that someone is benefitting, this question must first of all come to mind of law enforcement organizations of "the city of metallurgists." After all, embezzlement primarily affects the overall profits of JSC "ArcelorMittal Temirtau", and therefore on the wages of our metal workers and metallurgists. As it became known, PJSC "Keramet" was outsourced the entire scrap yard at PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvoy Rog” in Ukraine. And Anna Adom herself was invited to the current position in October 2016 from Ukraine, and before that she worked in the service on PAO staff - ArcelorMittal Kryvoy Rog - Deputy Director of the Process Optimization Department. AO-Arcelor Mittal Temirtau quite often attracts ukrainian specialists to managerial positions. Formerly, the company invited Irina Efimchuk, the director of HR management, to work in ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog. She had a privelege to be allowed to hire foreign labor. However, the VIP-manager did not take the job. According to one of the versions, the foreigner was not satisfied with the working conditions.

In addition, the coal department was formerly headed by Evgeniy Romashin, who made a career in Ukraine. At one time he was an adviser to the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and also claimed to be the head of Ukrzaliznytsia. They say that it was Anna Adom who facilitated Romashin's invitation to work in Kazakhstan, and she lobbied his interests in the appointment to the position. So what would the protйgй of Anna Adom be remembered for, as a director of coal department of JSC “Arselor Mittal Temirtau”? First of all, he would be remembered for his inadequate managerial decisions. Thus, he brought to the coal department two more outsourcing brigades- “CorumGroup” LLC from Ukraine (which was under his management before as he worked there as a general director) and “DDS-PlUS” LLC from Russia. Thus, he obviously thinks that Kazakhstani job market has not fitting people that could handle these positions! Besides, under his order the administration of coal department moved from building in the central part of Karaganda to “Aktasskaya” coal mine, breaking old tradition of coal-mining capital.

Under the management of Evgeniy Romaschin there were several orders issued that made almost any employee of the company to be arraigned up to firing for safety code violation. It seems as a sound move, however mister Romaschin himself was constantly violating that exact code and violating juridical of Kazakhstan. He passed the safety code test after a year since he was hired, while he supposed to pass it in February of 2016.

Besides, employees of the company were not satisfied with his decision that made everyone vulnerable and put them at risk of losing their jobs. “Before we talk, you should make all machinery according to the safety code, make it inspected and then you can fire people for violating the safety code. Invest money in working teams by hiring enough qualified men that can handle machinery. And then you can punish people, who do not have physical or lawful possibility to make it”- employee said.

In this regard, the case that took place on December 8, 2016 is indicative – an accident occurred on the blast furnace №4, which just had come out of the reconstruction, when the hot metal ladle buckled and tons of liquid iron were spilled onto the ground. There was a fire, as a result of which 200 km of current-carrying cables burned in the cable gallery of the blast furnace. They wanted to put the blame on several people. HR Director Anna Adom personally came to the blast furnace shop and had a conversation with the deputy shop superintendent Askar Akhmetov, after which he wrote a resignation letter. They also wanted to fire Eduard Poltoyanen, who is in charge of the repair of buckets. But he is a very competent and cautious person. And he has a journal in which it is written that this bucket was put up for repair three times, but, nevertheless, someone returned three times for refilling without repair. It could not be dismissed, because as it turned out, the worker “has it all worked out”.

And this case is far from isolated. Whereby Mr. Romashin cannot stand criticism at all, he does not mince his words. Discontentment of the coal department workers, whose words did not reach the management of enterprise, resulted in quite anecdotal situations. In particular, in July 2016 Romashin received as a gift a funeral wreath. He was not happy with gift, and appealed to the police, as a result of which the hapless joker received a punishment of several days of arrest.

Yevgeniy Romashin expressed his disrespect for the work collective during the celebration of Miner’s Day. At a solemn meeting dedicated to the professional holiday of miners, he did not appear, confining himself to invitation cards with his signature. At the same time it turned out that he was leaving his post. Instead of him, another appointed “Varyag” – the foreign manager Parshant Kumar Goyal – congratulated. And what qualities he has, only time will show.
