There is a beautiful Indian legend that gave a start to one of the world’s oldest religions. This legend is about a person born in a royal family, prince Siddhartha Gautama, more widely known as Buddha. His parents were trying to border their child from pain and sorrow of outer world. The King made everything to prevent Siddhartha from leaving the palace and accidently learn about poverty, illnesses and death. Buddha grew up a powerful warrior and did not meet anyone equal to him in power and martial arts. However, one day he left home with a wheelman, and on the road he saw a poor man, an ill old man, funeral session and a marginal. This event opened his eyes and changed his life. He abandoned his wealth, palace, wife and son and started travelling looking for the truth.
What is the true worth of the money? To this paradox question there are more than one different answer. During my active duty at military I have met a sergeant with a philosophical view on life. Once, during preoperational session the gunnery was getting ready to the shooting, and he was lying relaxed on boxes with projectiles (which were ready for loading – meaning they were extremely dangerous!). He talked about wealth and his small allowance: “Do you think I decided to protect my country for the money?”- He said with an annoyed voice, -“Why would I need money? Government feeds name and gives me clothes.”
-“Would the government feed and buy clothes to your children as well?”- I said on contrary. He started thinking.
Now, I remember this talk with a light smile. Anyway, even now some of military people do not understand true worth of the money – they just need to have an order, which they will not discuss. And an employee would do anything his employer orders for out-of-his-pocket money.
If you remember, at previous time I toldyou about director of HR JSC«ArcelorMittal» Anna Adom, who likes to have a rest in the corporate recreation houses belongs to the company. The woman is outstanding figure in the all relations - the employees and acquaintances can say a lot about her. For example, in speech she prefers to talk in the mentoring tone and acts like a noblewoman with her serves. So, during the two summer months MissisAdom was in the vacation overall 16 days – spending time in the corporate recreation houses. All this pleasure was paid by the financial service of the «ArcelorMittal Temirtau». Partly, her relaxation with her family from the 16th till to 18th June was cost more than 150000 tenge for «Kazakhstan Magnitka»’s accounting (50 thousand per day). Relaxation for period from June 29th till July 4thexpenditure was slightly lowly – almost 159 000 tenge (26 500 tenge per day). In July Anna Dom took a short term vacation for 10 days – from the 19th till28th in the cost 274 896 tenge from the company’s expense (27 489 per day). Someone may say – unseen wonders, our people spend more in Turkey and Egypt. However, this money was spent from the corporate budget. Moreover, ordinary employee cannot afford such vacation or compensatory leave.
Then, what is the true value of the money? Who earns money with own sweat, knows the answer for this question. Person, who gets use to look for the world from the comfortable office’s window and dispose of someone’s destiny as cards in the poker, can just shrug the shoulders and say: «Money is a paper». The moral is that – common money is not ours and it is not a sin to spend it.
