This is unfortunately a matter of game design
But it is most certainly dead for wow classic gold the Horde. In a tragic twist around exactly the same thing that happened to Skeram and Stalagg had happened to Incendius. I'd failed my guild twice today in choosing a server.
And there are definitely things that we could have done that other servers have done to avoid these sorts of situations. Such as operating into Blackrock Mountain and establishing arrangements between Horde and Alliance for Darkmoon Faire week. We might have colluded longer to make sure our server would remain healthier and stand the test of time. But with imperfect information about Horde morale as well as the reality of the situation of what could occur and eventually did happen: How were we supposed to understand?
This is unfortunately a matter of game design and human psychology I can't even fathom answering. That having been said, here are the issues we confront with transfers: Skewed Alliance/Horde ratios leading to boom-bust servers. (Stalagg, Skeram, and Incendius).Real money trading utilizing server transfers. Transferring low level personalities for $25 from a dead host where resources are simple to farm to some greater pop server that is more aggressive. People use these transfers to mule around major ticket items such as edgemasters and cloudkeeper legplates in an effort to increase a golden vendor's stock of gold on servers that are more difficult to farm gold that the conventional way.
Botting and Multiboxing (That is already a huge post, and I believe that one deserves attention, not here). The third point deserves some explanation, and that I hope the Devs are taking appropriate actions to eliminate this possible issue. There will be when the war effort starts. This is nothing but a math issue that is already solved weeks in advance. And with types and spreadsheets it makes it super easy to monitor all the materials.
For example, Firemaw (EU) has projected turn ins per day and goals they will need to hit before July 15th. It's looking very promising for them to be able to perform it. Why are they doing this you ask? Because they're players playing a sport that has been our for decades now. Because they could. They and a few other servers will have the war effort done and the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj opened one week after it comes out.
The main reason for concern is that you are taking a look at a potential boom-bust scenario again if we use history as any principle. The only answer to cheap classic wow gold this is really a time-gated warfare attempt. I'm all ears, if there are different options.
