The major disappointment is villager dialog and character
I'm on the boat that believes that this team truly upgrades the game for Animal Crossing Bells free because they could not get everything they wanted done by launch date. I think other games/publishers might be predatory, such as EA, when they provide dlc prior to the matches are launched, as well as chances to microtransactions.
I played the game a lot and while I really like the capacity of it but I believe the game is sloppily made and predatory since they pushed greatly for folks to get online subscriptions (such as your island is secured on particular colours, if I need something pink I gotta trade) and secured things and lately villagers behind a paywall (you gotta buy amiboos for Sanrio villagers and things ).
The major disappointment is villager dialog and character, they're essentially equal to each other according to character type and hobby and although some increase on you it is still quite underwhelming. I also think"Free upgrades" is a bizarre flex because it implies that we're lucky we do not have to cover things which really should have been there from the beginning (like more design slots and storage expansions).
I agree wholeheartedly on the lack of conversation out of villagers. To get a game in which the main"material" revolves around creating a tiny town in your island, the residents want more love. It is a massive letdown for Cheap Nook Miles Ticket every villager of the exact same personality type to basically say the specific same handful of lines for you.
