THE LEVEL OF CORRUPTION IN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES OF THE REGION HAS BEEN DETERMINED
A total of 4,290 students took part in the social survey. According to the results of the survey, 99.3 percent of students noted the correct understanding of corruption in general. Of the students surveyed, 35.1 percent believe that financial control is the most effective method to combat corruption. And along with this, 21.3 percent of students are aware of cases of corruption offenses in these colleges and universities. The most corrupt events in the activities of these institutions occur during the state exams 46.2 percent. When evaluated on a 5-point scale, the degree of corruption of colleges and universities, 12.3 percent indicated 5 points. When asked if they are ready to report the facts of corruption in college or university, 30.6 percent of respondents agreed, 25.3 percent of students agree, but are ready to report only anonymously. It is shown that, in general, the work on combating corruption in educational institutions of the Almaty region has positive trends, but there is a need for further improvement of anti-corruption education programs and intensification of work on the formation of an anti-corruption culture among students.
