The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a future
The university with confident and firm step marches ahead among world educational institutions and takes the 236th place in the world at the moment. Professorial teaching stuff put efforts to make investigations in science, and to enlarge knowledge of students, who glory KazNU in foreign universities. University education system allows to get: higher basic education (bachelor's degree), higher professional education, master's, and doctoral studies. Every year the University leaves qualified stuff of 180 occupations, for that 15 faculties, college, institute of professional development, 7 research institutes, 25 specialized dissertation councils for doctoral dissertations in 67 specialties in the university, graduate students and doctoral candidates are contributing to. The scientific infrastructure includes 11 centers also. There is an impressive database of physical and mathematical research. Currently, the physical-technical faculty stands out, the Department of Thermal Physics and Technical Physics in particular, which is accredited by ASSIIN international Agency for 2016. Department of Thermal Physics and Technical Physics by academic mobility sends students to study in countries such as Nederland, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Lithuania, Switzerland, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Germany, Russia, etc.
In order to advance knowledge of students of such specialties as "Standardization, Certification and Metrology (by fields)", "Technical Physics", "Thermal Power Engineering" the department has concluded international agreements on double degrees with such universities, as the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (Russia), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia).
Students express themselves not only in knowledge, also they are active in the social life of the country, performing at national festivals, took first place at national events, participate in international beauty contests, are also volunteers.
The Department of thermal physics and technical physics is in charge urban house of veterans, Kaskelen boarding school, urban specialized orphanage №1 for a long time.
