Teresa Giudice to Serve 15-Month Sentence in Orange Is the New Black Prison
Looks like Teresa Giudice's prison wish has been granted.
E! News confirms that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star will spend her 15-month sentence at Danbury prison—the same prison that inspired the wildly popular Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.

The reality star, who has four young daughters, had previously requested to spend part of her sentence in a halfway house. Her new attorney, Stacy Ann Biancamo, filed a letter to Judge Salas with the Federal Court on Wednesday asking that Teresa's sentencing be reconsidered so she can continue to take care of her children.
The letter was in response to a government missive, in which the U.S. Attorney said they opposed Teresa spending her sentence at a halfway house. "It was clearly not the court's intention at sentencing in this matter to sentence defendant to serve all or virtually all of her sentence in a halfway house," the letter read.
Prior to her most recent request, Teresa asked that she serve her sentence in the prison made famous on the series Orange Is the New Black, which is based on a memoir by Piper Kerman, who served a year at the facility.
Judge Salas agreed with the defense and shared her recommendations with the Bureau of Prisons, which ultimately decided that Teresa will serve her sentence at Danbury. Judge Salas also declined to recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Teresa serve 12 months of her 15 month sentence in a halfway house, although the ultimate decision will be left up to the Bureau of Prison.
As E! News previously reported, Teresa's request to serve time in the OITNB prison caused her legal crisis manager Wendy Feldman to sever ties with the Bravo star.
