Media sources in the town said the soldiers kidnapped Zoheir Bassa, 14 years of age, after searching his family's home, and took him to an unknown destination.

The soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes, including the home of Ayman Bassa, an official of the Fateh movement in charge of the Palestinian Detainees’ File, and forced him out of his home, in the cold, while searching his property, in addition to invading and searching his mother's home.

Clashes took place in the town after the soldiers invaded it; medical sources said the soldiers shot and injured several young Palestinian men with live rounds, including two who were shot with the Toto hollow bullets that detonate upon impact.

One of them was shot in his thigh and the other in his leg; the use of hollow bullets against a civilian population is illegal, but the Israeli army frequently uses such rounds, including the dum-dum bullets.
