Phantasy Star Online 2: How New Genesis Can Connect with the Current Game
It's a strange new hybrid game and Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta growth coming next year, and one of its important features are the ability to transfer characters between matches. This has many gamers wondering how it will work and what will or won't be coming over with them. Sega recently released an FAQ to address these questions regarding the new game, and it explained some things about transports. Here is what we learned.
First, while many things will probably be transferable in the present sport New Genesis, the reverse will often not be accurate. There will be new items, emotes, outfits and other things coming to PSO2: NGS which aren't in the present game and won't be transferable. It's also been said that old and new body makeup can't be outfitted together. This is likely because both games are getting graphical updates, but personality models will be different and"morph" depending on what sport a human body cosmetic is from. The majority of your makeup collection from CAST parts, outfits, accessories and hair transport over to New Genesis though.
Storage will not be a big issue for your broad collection. Storage information (even growth slots) will be shared between matches, and things out of PSO2 can be retrieved as long as they also exist in New Genesis. The only exceptions are Alliance and Meseta Storage. Meseta won't be understated, and a new currency will be released instead. Your Alliance will still exist, but it will not be quite the same. Sega has stated that there will not be Alliance Quarters, Tree or Storage but Alliance Chat will cross games. It sounds like Alliances are obtaining a downgrade, but we don't know too much about it however.
As for other monies, just Arks Cash and Star Gems will operate between games because they can both purchased with real cash. FUN and other currencies (likely things such as badges) won't be understated, as New Genesis will probably have new ones in place similar to Meseta. This is a solid design option because it puts everyone in an even level when starting the match.
Your characters will be at a similar position. Levels, skills and any character progression will not move over to New Genesis. Rather, everyone will start over at level 1, rather than all weapons and units will be accessible due to using different skins. We haven't heard anything regarding courses or if there will be significant gameplay changes, but we will likely hear more as the release date gets nearer. Skill Rings are the only equipment that will not transfer because they will not be in New Genesis at all. Similarly, crafting is getting a much-needed overhaul, so those things will not be available .
Mags will carry over, but they will not have the effect you are utilized to in PSO2. They'll be more of a furry friend in New Genesis that doesn't effect your stats. This is another great design option because new players frequently fall in the pit of an unoptimized character. Feeding them any thing without realizing exactly what it does results in getting random stats and contributes to buy meseta pso2 issues like being unable to equip weapons and trouble in greater levels. Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new breed of game, and it'll be intriguing to see how well it works alongside Sega's current MMO.
