People of New Orlean can't return to their home for the last 12 years.
One of the most destroying hurricanes in the history of Unated States "Katrina" is awe even now, 12 years later. Inhabitants of New Orlean still can't return to their city because of the government. According to the people words even if the resroration of New Orlean goes in it's course it didn't affect on the poor part of the city. They don't have insurance and property because the government tooked a decision to destroy social houses and didn't gave any compensation to them.
On August 29 in 2005 hurricane destroyed huge territory of the country and the main hit tooked New Orlean. As a result 80% of the city was plunged into the water. Despite those fact that people were evacuated for about 150 thousand of them couldn't leaved and stayed in the city.
Two years ago Barack Obama have visited New Orlean and met people who were most affected by this disaster. The president noted the "striking successes" in the restoration of New Orlean and said that the city will be even better now. But not all are agree with him. According to peoples word poor part of the city still didn't recieved anything.
Over the past 12 years those who survived this horror still carry the stamp of tragedy. Lydia Lagard returned back to home but memories of her past are still pursuit her. According to her she keeps the suitcase with all the need things on occaison if tragedy will happen again.
