Old School Runescape closes Bounty Hunter worlds --"It's time to create a change"

Old School RuneScape (OSRS), an MMORPG name that started nearly two years ago, has closed a community poll that has been voting on RS Gold the execution of"Partnerships." In essence, Partnerships revolve around the concept that some new items and features would become available to"Partners" of Old School RuneScape, before being released to the general populace.

Once the promotional event had finished, they then allowed all players to use the pigment. The RuneScape community didn't like the notion back then, and they don't enjoy it now. A subreddit devoted to OSRS has contested the idea repeatedly over the past week. Many users are claiming that this brings the sport one step closer to having full blown microtransactions. Others view this as"microtransactions by means of a third party," since players who have paid to become partners with a different firm are rewarded with exclusive items.

Thankfully Jagex, the developers of OSRS, have stated they won't add any new content to the game without first polling the neighborhood. This can be accomplished with an in-game voting booth where members can throw their virtual ballots. Thanks to this particular voting system, the majority of the community is pleased with any changes made to the nostalgic game. The survey was set to close on Monday the 8th, however ancient polling results were negative Jagex made a decision to shut the stalls early. An official statement from the company indicates that not only were the surveys exceptionally one-sided, however, the overall hatred around the topic forced them to abandon the thought. They say that they were in no way trying to add microtransactions to the game and are frustrated the community believed they'd do anything.

Obviously, they did precisely that with Runescape 3, a move which many assert stunted the growth of the title. OSRS is a Free to Play title, but it supplies a monthly subscription that adds countless hours of Cheap RuneScape Gold extra content. The simple fact that any sort of monetization was discussed while the title already contains a monthly subscription was probably the reason for such a backlash from the community.

zrim_lol is taking his vindication graciously:"Each of the redditors who spent telling me I was just lax with security can suck a fat one," he wrote.
