nexus 7 as a alarm to wake up

Anyone else use their nexus 7 as a alarm to wake up? And if so are you having trouble waking up because I can't hear my nexus alarm and its very loud. I've had no problem waking up to the sound of the phone ringing. So why does my nexus sound so low? I have the touch key sounds on and I can barely hear those when I navigate the screen!

I don't use the stock alarm. I wish I could but I like to have the volume slowly increase. So I doesn't give me a heart attack if I have the volume to high. Try alarm clock xtreme. Its free and I believe the volume is louder.
any nexus 7 user, please please take the time to root and put a custom rom on your nexus 7 tablets , there after you will have louder speakers, faster tablet, better battery, better sound! There is no reason not to be on a custom rom one of these hardworking developers over at xda nexus 7 accessories forums has made for us! Reap from the benefits! It is easy and takes less than 30 minutes the first time. I can attest to the fact that my kingbeatz mod on my new nexus 7 rom has made my speaker much much louder, but the main reason I use it is because it has upped the quality on my music beyond audiophile levels! Amazing what you can do with just a few minutes of your time. Oh and almost forgot the point, I use my alarm to wake me on my Nexus 7 and let's just say that the rooster sounding alarm on my tablet almost gave me a heart attack! That's how loud it gets ;-)
