National Team of Peru celebrates entrance to the World Championship
For the first time in 36 years, the national football team of Peru officially got to the World Cup, which will be held in Russia in 2018.
November, 16 the last qualifying match between the national teams of Peru and New Zealand passed. The match ended with a victory of Peruans with a score of 2:0. This victory allowed the team from South America for the first time since 1982 to make their way to the World Cup.

The head coach of the national team of Peru Ricardo Garek shared his impressions:
Heavy confrontation, as we met with a pretty strong opponent. But we did a good job.
He also thanked all the staff of the national team, especially the medical staff, psychologists. Ricardo Garek expressed special gratitude to the fans and congratulated them on entering the final stage of the world championship:
We have experienced tremendous emotions from supporting the entire Peruvian people. In every country where we played, we were supported, so it would be very painful to disappoint such fans.
Alejandro Contreras-Cabrera shared his emotions on Twitter:

By the way, Peru announced a national holiday in case of the national team's exit at the 2018 World Cup.
