My first impressions of the university
My first impressions of the university
The revelance of the topic chosen due to the need of young schoolchildren who finished school and went to university. Excitement or fear of the unknown, and maybe some other reasons, the same first two days of student life, for example, pass as if in a fog, when it still seems that you have come to school as usual, but at the same time everything around is so new and not entirely clear.
Admission and the time of "getting used to" at the university is undoubtedly an important step in the ladder of life. And for many, this is the real line between childhood and an independent adult stage.
The first impression always leaves a big mark on the soul. It is on him that subsequent feelings depend.
I remember well the day when I came to submit documents to KazNU. These were unparalleled emotions, I experienced a huge amount of mixed feelings. It was then that my first impression of this educational institution began to form.
When I first visited one of the buildings of the university, I immediately realized that the building is historical: massive oak doors, high ceilings, spiral staircases.
The first day of university was the most exciting. New people, new environment, new rules and orders. The whole impression was fully formed only when I got acquainted with all the teachers and with my group. Expectations that I might not find a common language with someone from the group, or from the teachers did not come true, and I am very happy about that.
I really was very afraid of the new environment. Feelings of dread enveloped me when I first went to university. I thought a lot about how to behave and what to do. I did not know. But at the end, having gathered myself, I pulled myself together and walked confidently to the university. Everyone turned out to be very friendly and interesting people. A feeling of fear, mixed with curiosity, accompanied me all the time when I went to a new subject, to a new teacher. But my fear turned out to be in vain, because all teachers are fair, understanding and people interested only in our learning this or that discipline.
Personally, I have always been fascinated by the humanities and that is why I entered the Faculty of Philology.
Many people think that we make our best friends during school years. However, the university was able to give me a lot of acquaintances with wonderful people. All of my classmates are incredibly fun and versatile personalities. I never thought that at one moment I would be able to meet so many extraordinary guys. Our group turned out to be very close-knit.
In conclusion, I want to say that my life has changed a lot for the better, and this cannot but rejoice. Of course, studying at the university is quite difficult, but I am determined to work hard and am confident that I will succeed. I hope there will be many interesting events ahead. I also want to wish good luck to the entrants! Be confident in your abilities and do not be afraid to be in a group of others!
