McPherson — Bramlett Wedding
Jordan Brooke Bramlett and Morgan James McPherson, both of Rome, were married at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Proctor Farm in Rome.
The bride is the daughter of Marc and Tammi Bramlett. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Margaret Zeiger, Marilyn Bramlett and the late Clyde Bramlett, all of Rome.
The groom is the son of Steve and Teresa McPherson, and the grandson of the late Donald and Delilah McPherson, Bettye Ellington and the late Roland Ellington.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Honorable Robert H. Darville III of Rome. They were married in a rustic timber framed outdoor chapel with an antique crystal chandelier. The chapel was decorated with two sprays of white fujis, white, lavender and purple daisies and draping greenery. Vintage mason jars containing purple, white and lavender daisies and baby’s breath lined the aisle with large burlap and lace bows.
The couple exchanged vows and participated in the lighting of a unity candle. A program of wedding music included “Be Still My Soul (Finlandia),” “Cornerstone,” “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” and “A Thousand Years.”

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She carried a nosegay style bouquet of, all white roses, Grandeflora white hydrangea, Anna roses and Balboa White lisianthus, tied with burlap and lace from her mother’s wedding bouquet.
The bride wore a strapless, sweetheart gown of ivory embroidered lace with a jeweled sash at the natural waistline. The trumpet fit bodice flowed to the scalloped edged skirt and court length train. She chose a single tier fingertip length ivory veil embellished with metallic embroidered edging to match the jeweled sash. The bride completed her attire by wearing champagne leather boots with embroidery and rhinestone studs and a turquoise sole.
Madison Bramlett of Rome, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and carried a bouquet that was similar to the bridesmaids’ bouquets. Bridesmaids were Melissa Burke, Caitlyn Cook, Allie DeAngleus, Natalie Reynolds, Megan Treglown and Harleigh Turner. The bridesmaids wore satin cocktail length dresses in majestic purple featuring a sweetheart neckline and a draped, fitted bodice with silver earrings. They wore Old West tan boots, gifts given by the bride to complete their look. They carried bouquets with Grandeflora hydrangea, Ocean Song roses, Echo Blue Lisianthus, Blue Moon Tulips and lavender stock.
The mother of the bride wore a floor-length gown of navy chiffon and sequins adorned with a navy three quarter length jacket. The mother of the groom wore a champagne cocktail length sleeveless gown with a lace bodice and tiered skirt. They both carried a bouquet of white Anna roses.
Pete McPherson, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Dakota Burke, Adam Isabel, Tan Le, Holden Mayes, Tinsley Page and Hunter Thompson. The groomsmen wore light grey tuxedos with white shirts and matching light grey vests and majestic purple ties. They wore boutonnieres with purple lisianthus and greenery.
Graham Lunsford and Jack Barnes served as ring bearers. Both walked the isle barefoot in flax linen shorts with purple and white gingham shirts and purple suspenders. They wore boutonniere with white spray roses and greenery.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception under the lights of the pavilion. Refreshments included the bride’s cake — a four-tier cake with red velvet, white, and devil’s food chocolate cake layers covered in white buttercream icing. The lace décor was covering the entire cake with a pearl border and adorned with a touch of fresh lavender and purple flowers. The groom’s cake was a raspberry-filled vanilla cake decorated with white and chocolate icing and sculpted into a 3-dimensional large mouth bass adorned with a fishing net and rod.
The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at State Mutual Stadium where the couple has worked for many summers and where the groom proposed to the bride during a game on the field on June 1, 2013.
A shower was hosted at Brookwood Clubhouse by Allie DeAngelus, Renea Padgett, Robbie Fuller and Morgan Fuller; a kitchen shower was hosted by Joy Chupp, Mary Elizabeth Johns, Hannah Addis and Linda Lunsford at the Chupp’s residence; another kitchen shower was hosted by Tina Jones, Myra Reynolds, Morgan Reynolds and Natalie Reynolds at the Reynolds’s residence; a bachelorette weekend was hosted in Panama City Beach, Florida by the bridesmaids.
