Watching this kazakh biographies is really inspiring.
It keeps me motivated. Really nice. When I read it I dont want to sleep :)
I should be reading it every second day.
Today I talked to Mike Schaefer. Job opportunities are not so bright. Of course I am taking his advises with a grain of salt. Finishing up a job strategy, I should also work on implementation.
Let me just spill out all my thoughts, unorganized, and unfiltered.
On the top of the list goes: McKinsey, Bain, and BCG. that would be the best scenario.
Next go these international institutions: World bank, UN, IMF, American energy consul, Governer assistant, Allbright, Dalberg, Asian Development Bank
Third tier: Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, LEEK, Parthenon
Forth tier: alternative energy companies: solar power, Opower, edison, GE, Clear result, American Council on Renewable energy, Southern California Edison.
Now lets take a look at e-club job opportunities:
Top tier: Amazon, Google, Microsoft
Second tier: Uggs, some other nice strategy company in California
I dont know about the second tier yet. Now, What I described above is quite good. Excellent job. You finally know your list.
Now, how about approach? Again, I am just going to lay out all my thoughts, just the way they are:
Schedule an appointment with Mansur in Houston. Reach out to 5 people in BCG and find advocates. Bain talk to Mike.
Allbright, dalberg- contact trek leaders. Find people from kellogg who worked in IMF< WB< UN and so on. Talk to them
Third tier- hold on to them, reach to them later in may.
Fourth tier- I dont know, talk to Mike.
Amazon - work for company like stripe, grainger and so on and you will get it.
Google - find people who work at HR department. Fly to them one more time in May. Make them fall in love with you.
Now, also contact McKinsey astana office.
good, good plan
Talk to Mike tomorrow about it.
Go ahead girl
