Вы всегда мечтали составить кампанию Фродо и Сэму на их пути в Мордор...
Однако из-за наступления харадских мумаков их атака захлёбывается, и рохирримы теряют большую часть своих людей. В пылу битвы назгулы убивают Теодена (можно спасти, если вызвать роханское подкрепление после прихода Армии Мертвых или предварительно убить назгулов и мумаков можно, воскресить в следующей битве). Почти все воины Света мертвы, а к оркам подходят новые подкрепления. Однако прибывшие Арагорн, Леголас и Гимли с Армией Мёртвых уничтожают всех злых тварей на Пеленнорских полях и освобождают Минас Тирит.

А так как ярость начинается лишь с 5 ранга, а вылезает он 1, делаем вывод. Но тем не менее, прокаченный хотя бы до прыжка Гимли уже может принести большую пользу, так как он почти неубиваем. Мерри — незаменим на раннем этапе игры, когда представляет собой очень большую силу: может быть использован как в атаке, так и в защите, может застраивать стартовые фермы. На более позднем этапе игры принесёт наибольшую пользу, если его ставить рядом с одной из ферм под плащ, чтобы враг не мог её застроить.
Слабые, но очень быстрые юниты. Недоступны в режиме Сражение. Неиграбельные юниты. Гоблины Мории — гоблины Мглистых гор. Слабые, но нападают большими отрядами.
Из главных нововведений стоит отметить, прежде всего, новую систему создания ключевых персонажей, которая получила название Create-A-Hero. Она позволяет детально разобраться с вооружением и броней главных героев плюс наделить их особыми умениями. Появилось много новых карт. Была создана новая система магии кольца и новая раса - Гоблины.
