KazNU and MPEI: PARTNERSHIP COOPERATION DEVELOPEMENT AND INTERNATIONALIZATION OF EDUCATION
The global process of education internationalization and the signing of the Bologna agreement by Kazakhstan, which are directed to radical changes in the domestic higher professional education. These allow us to make significant modifications, also let us to view problems and prospects for the development of international cooperation in Kazakhstani educational institutions in a new way.
International cooperation significantly influences on the educational environment development of the institution, by increasing its abilities in the preparation competent, capable in perceiving and implementing innovations specialist.
The cooperation geography of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is very diverse - the university realizes united educational and scientific projects with leading academic and scientific centers of various foreign countries. The development and implementation of the in common educational programs are one of the keys directions of foreign interuniversity cooperation in the bachelor's and master's degree, which are leading to provide students and undergraduates with the opportunity to study at neighbor and distant foreign universities and receive two diplomas - Al-Farabi KazNU and the diploma of a foreign university-partner.
The Department of Thermal physics and Technical Physics of Al-Farabi KazNU cooperates with many leading foreign universities and scientific centers through the world, which educational programs are implemented to train specialists at all levels of study, the conducting scientific researches, joint conferences, organized congresses, and experiences exchange with.
The effective development of the three-level model in educational system of the university, the Department of Thermal physics and Technical Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology agreement concluded about the joint training of bachelor and master degrees with the National Research University MPEI (Russia) in accordance to the designation in the Development Strategy of Al-Farabi KazNU to 2020. Our department together with MPEI plan to actively participate in the implementation of scientific projects and educational programs in the future.
The basic aim of this agreement is the quality improvement and attractiveness of higher education, to strengthen cooperation and inter-university relations in higher education of both countries. As a result of the intensive cooperation between the two universities, high-quality joint bachelor's and master's programs will be organized and implemented, the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of training highly qualified specialists and joint scientific researches will be conducted with a view to preparing diplomas and dissertations.
In the frame of this agreement, for the first time in the autumn semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, the 4th year students of the Department of Thermal physics and Technical Physics "Heat Power Engineering" and "Standardization, Certification and Metrology (by industry)" majors completed short-term internship at the departments of MPEI "Management in Power Engineering and Industry" and "Industrial Heat and Power Systems" in the period from 06 to 16 November 2017.
For the period of the internship, the inviting chair provided students of our faculty with all the conditions for training, also with all the necessary literature and housing in the Student House. According to the given timetable of the "Management in Power Engineering and Industry" and "Industrial Heat and Power Systems" departments , the students were studied lecture and seminar on the following topics: "Modern aspects of quality management in enterprises and their role in the economy of the country. ISO 9001 ","Topical methods of effective enterprise management in rapidly changing environmental conditions " and etc.
Moreover, the business training was conducted on the topic "Business negotiations, effective feedback of the manager with subordinates", and exit lecture was lectured on questions of territories marketing in the frame of the School of the Young Scientist. The seminar was held on the questions of International Standards ISO 14000, 50001, 18000 and Audit QMS for students specializing in quality management.
After the successful internship, the coordinator of international academic programs the students were awarded certificates by Kulik I.A. and the curator of the department of the MPEI Mrs. Kiseleva M.A.
KazNU together with MPEI plan to successfully conclude a memorandum with the aim of implementing educational programs for bachelors and masters degrees with the issuance of double diplomas for a number of topical and in-demand specialties in the world labor market in the near future. In the frame of this memorandum, the staff’ of the chairs of the MPEI and Al-Farabi KazNU will conduct active joint research work, they will carry out international cooperation agreement with the leading foreign universities and joint research activities, practical seminars and conferences, also implement international joint educational programs, conduct academic exchange of students, staff and teachers and attract visiting-professors.
