Kazakhstan marks National Day of forest production
Kazakhstan celebrates the National Tree Planting Day. More than 1,500 seedlings were prepared for planting in the east of the country, where more than half of the forest reserves of the country is concentrated. Regional 13 forest areas are involved in their reproduction. Neighboring areas will be also provided with green spaces. Up to 12,000 roots of Siberian pine and spruce are annually prepared for Astana and Almaty.
Bakhyt KUATBEKOV, FORESTER:
Every year we plant trees on 20-30 hectares of land. On the bare forest lands we are creating nurseries.
Vitally CHERNETSKY, DEPUTY HEAD OF NATURAL RESOURCES:
Not all the seedlings were planted in the cities. There are also crops which were created on the site of the fire. We have already received more than 1,000 applications for the seedlings.
