It is this share of employees that accounts for the majority of corruption crimes. So, in the Almaty region since the beginning of 2021, one third of all detected crimes have been committed by local executive bodies and institutions subordinate to them - 34, in particular: for public procurement - 10, healthcare - 4, education - 11, land relations - 2, agriculture - 3, as well as during construction (tenders, public procurement, etc.) - 4. In addition, 154 persons have been brought to criminal responsibility for the commission of corruption crimes to date, of which 20 persons are the first leaders of various ranks (regional significance – 6, city – 5, district – 7, rural - 2).

According to the Anti-Corruption Service of the Almaty region, today the fight against corruption includes comprehensive measures to prevent, educate and apply criminal law measures. As part of this, one of the tasks is to warn citizens about the consequences of corruption, as well as informing citizens about encouragement for reporting corruption offenses. In this preventive and preventive work, the main goal of Antikor is to reach every civil servant and warn him about responsibility and serious consequences for corruption offenses.

Meanwhile, according to the Anti-Corruption Service of the Almaty region, any size of a bribe, even in the amount of 10,000 tenge, 20,000 tenge, 1,000,000 tenge, will entail a criminal legal consequence. So, this year in the region 70 persons were convicted of corruption, of which 65 persons paid a fine of more than 119 million tenge, 2 were sentenced to restriction of liberty, 3 to imprisonment, with confiscation of property and life deprivation of the right to hold positions in public service.

The head of the Prevention Department of the Anti-Corruption Service in the Almaty region, Askar Sadykov, called on all residents of the region to immediately report the facts of corruption to a cell phone number: 87777176767. At the same time, warning that responsibility is also provided for knowingly false information about a corruption fact.
