International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists «FARABI ALEMI»
«FARABI ALEMI» - International scientific conference of students and young scientists, where actual problems of various branches of modern science are considered in three areas: natural sciences and technology, humanities and social sciences, also pedagogical. The participants present theoretical, experimental and applicable reports and scientific inventions. Students, undergraduates and young scientists under 35 years of any higher education institution with Kazakh or Russian language of education can participate in the conference. The event is aimed at stimulating the research, educational and cognitive activities of students and young scientists, involving them in solving scientific problems of the present, revealing creative abilities and supporting the most talented and outstanding students.
This year it was attended more than 6,000 participants, among them 180 speakers from the USA, Germany, Turkey, India, Japan and CIS countries. During this were conducted various master classes, sectional sessions, round tables and reports were listened to. Within the framework of the conference more than 100 sections performed at the faculties, where the most interesting and best reports were noted. This event was created on the initiative of the rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Galym Mutanov and became a tradition of the university.
At the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on April 9-10, 2018 was the V International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists «FARABI ALEMI». The conference was sponsored by the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics (NIIETF, Almaty) and the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of Open Type (NNLOT, Almaty).
Al-Farabi KazNU is a member of the International, European and Eurasian Universities Associations, the World Consortium of Universities, etc, also successfully cooperates with more than 300 largest universities in the world. Therefore, foreign professors were invited to the jury: Kato K. (Japan), Quevedo H. ( Mexico), Yong Min Cho (Korea).
The conference was divided into several sections:
• Section 1 - Theoretical Physics. Nuclear physics;
• Section 2 - Thermal physics and technical physics. Standardization, certification and metrology;
• Section 3 - Condensed matter physics and nanotechnology;
• Section 4 - Plasma physics. Computer physics;
• Section 5 - Radiophysics and Electronics. Astronomy.
At the solemn closing of the international scientific conference, students and young scientists «FARABI ALEMI» were awarded. First degree diploma was awarded to 1st year master student of the «Technical Physics» specialty of the Al-Farabi KazNU Gaukhar Bulysheva, diplomas of II degree was given to fourth-year students of Al-Farabi KazNU of the specialty «Technical Physics» Gaukhar Kantayeva and of the specialty «Standardization, certification and metrology» Madina Kapan, diplomas of the third degree was received by the Al-Farabi KazNU fourth-year students of the specialty «Heat-power engineering» Madina Tuken, of the specialty «Standardization, certification and metrology» Gulnaz Akhmetbek and of the specialty «Standardization, certification and metrology» Assel Kanatova. The remaining participants of the conference received certificates for participation.
As the organizers noted, the conference was aimed at the development of modernization under the vision of youth, stimulating young scientists to solve scientific problems of the present, disclosure creative abilities, selecting the most talented and outstanding students, and developing the intellectual potential of the current generation.
