The Parliamentary Office for evaluation of scientific and technological options (OPECST) and the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment (EPTA) are organising a conference on innovation and climate change at the French Parliament.
The conference will feature high-level speakers, including Mr. Claude Bartolone (President of the National Assembly), Mr. Jean Jouzel (member of the IPCC (Nobel prize recipient 2007) and CNRS gold medal recipient), Mrs. Ségolène Royal (Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy), and Mrs. Laurence Tubiana (Ambassador and Special Representative for COP21).
The event will conists of four thematic sessions covering (i) innovation for energy efficiency of buildings, (ii) innovation to feed the world whilst reducing GHG emissions, (iii) innovation for transportation and sustainable mobility, and (iv) citizens’ involvement in the use of smart technologies.
ICTSD will be represnted by Ahmed Abdel Latif who will intervene in the session on transportation and sustainabile mobility with the topic of electric car innovation – lessons for technology diffusion.
