Information Center for Nuclear Energy opened in Astana

Palace of schoolchildren in Astana hosted the opening of the Information Centre for Nuclear Energy. The ceremony was attended by Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik, President of “Rosatom – International Network” Alexander Merten, deputies of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the central communications service under the President of RK.

“Kazakhstan creates all conditions for the full development of the younger generation. Thanks to the personal involvement of the head of state the Astana’s Palace of schoolchildren was built where every schoolchild can receive after-school knowledge and attend different interest groups”, – said the Minister of Energy Vladimir Shkolnik.

In turn, the president of “Rosatom – International Network” noted that the opening of such center in Astana is another step in development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in the energy sector.

The center will educate in the field of nuclear technology, and promote technical education among young people.
