Currently, volunteering in the country has moved to a new stage of development. The people of Kazakhstan, especially the younger generation, have already come to understand that voluntary work for the benefit of society is necessary for everyone and is one of the conditions for a successful life not only for one person, but also for the whole country. Today, volunteer activities are popular: active citizens, gathering in initiative groups or joining the activities of existing non-governmental organizations, voluntarily and gratuitously help orphanages, specialized medical institutions and children in need of any help.
Due to the fact that volunteer activity at the moment does not have wide publicity, and the very concept of a volunteer has come into use recently, the representation of the population can be a substitute. Often, especially among young people, a volunteer is a person (statistician) on the action, i.e. the one who "waves" a flag. It is necessary to move away from this and promote social volunteering as an idea. All the more so because it overlaps remarkably with the historical basis of voluntary aid for the country's population.
In General, there is no doubt that the number of volunteers is growing every year, and it is important to understand that there are youth cities, for example, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Pavlodar, Kostanay, but mostly regions are social volunteering, where adults are self-sufficient people, young people who are already working. Volunteering has no barriers, it is any area of our life where help is needed. I always like to say, " Without prejudice, without stereotypes, without borders." For everyone, regardless of age, nationality or social status. The main motive of volunteers is the usual desire to be useful, which is why 8 people out of 10 go to volunteering, often not even realizing that he (she) is a volunteer.
"Komek" is a community of students created on the basis of KazNU. Аl-Farabi, which is engaged in organizing volunteer work with the purpose of assisting a socially vulnerable group of the population. The purpose of this Fund:
1) Development of student youth KazNU. al-Farabi social responsibility,
mutual assistance and support.
2) Lay the Foundation of patriotism, leadership, environmental, aesthetic,
ethical and labor education of students
3) Providing moral and physical assistance.
4) Increase children's desire to fight the disease.
5) Pedagogical (tutoring) assistance to orphans and children with disabilities
opportunities.
The rationale for the Komek project is that the future is in the hands of young people. In the formation of society, the younger generation is important. Volunteer work is a wide range of activities, showing social activity of young people, educating social responsibility, patriotism, leadership qualities, support and mutual understanding of students. And our goal is to direct the energy of young people to the benefit of both their personal development and for the benefit of society. Our project is based on the organization of volunteer assistance to orphans, children left without parental care, children from correctional schools, patients with cancer and autism, as well as elderly people in need of volunteer assistance. This also includes working with children in non-formal education aimed at intercultural communication, peacemaking, conflict resolution, and environmental protection. As well as working with children who often do not even go outside of the orphanage who do not get enough attention, affection, companionship and comfort. They live in closed areas and are poorly oriented in life. Deprived of communication with the outside world. And therefore it is necessary to work with them constantly. Unfortunately, educators often do not have enough time for this. As a result, the students of our University and students from other Universities could participate directly in this work. Our project will help cover a large number of orphanages, with a constantly working team of students. And most importantly, it will help more children find themselves in life!
