2.1 Interview client

Questions about system

• What are the problems with the current way of doing things?

-          The way of organizing current paper based system is not convenient. There are a lot of data, which hard to sort and control.

• What data or information is recorded in the current system?

-          Information about clients, ordered services, time and price

• How much data is recorded at present?

-          Data about 20-30 clients, who visit a hairdressing salon per day

• What data or information is to be recorded in the proposed system?

-          Besides information about services, proposed system will record description of goods.

• How much data will the proposed system record?

-          About 100-150 description of goods and data about approximately 50 client per day.

• How frequently will the data need to be updated?

-          Data about goods will be updated every 2 weeks, while client’s information will change every 2-3 days

• Will new records need to be added or old ones deleted?

-          Records about expired, empty goods and clients, who have already received the service in hairdressing salon will need to delete

• How often?

- Old records will delete every week.

• How important is the data or information that is recorded?

-          Data is very important, because with the help of information about goods we can control overdue items, while data about clients will show income of the organization

• What processes or functions are performed by the current system?

-          Store information

• What processes or functions are to be performed by the new system?

-          Store data in more appropriate way, with opportunity to change or add information easily. Client will have a chance to include information about preferred service by himself.

• Inputs: what are the inputs to the current system and what inputs will be required for the proposed system?

-          Inputs to the current system are notes in paper based system (client’s name, name of the service, day, and time). For the proposed system will be required more detailed inputs, such as name with surname, telephone number, preferred hairdresser and others.

• Outputs: what are the outputs from the current system and what outputs will be required from the proposed system?

-          Outputs from the current system are small papers with name of the services, date and price. Proposed system will be required check with information about client, hairdresser, service and price

• How often will outputs be required?

-          Outputs will be required after every service for every client

Questions about design and appearance of the website

• What kind of design for website you prefer more?

-          Design, which will attract attention of clients. A lot of different pictures and photos with needed information.

• Preferred colors?

-          White, black, light blue, pink, yellow and light green.

• What information should main page contain?

-          Main page should include information about hairdresser, offered service, perhaps pricelist, address and contact number or some kind of advertisement.

• Do you need registration?

-          Yes, it will be easier for clients to book services from their personal account.

• How system for goods should looks like?

-          It should be a structured data base, where I’ll have an opportunity to add and delete items. It should include description of the good, name, price, manufacture date and expiry date.

• Do you want to add something special?

-          I want to include page about hairdressers of my salon, with information about them, work experience, achievements, passed learning and photos. Moreover, I want to separate website into several pages with the help of menu on the main page. Clients have to easily find needed information and use possibilities of the pages. Design should be attractive, but not overly bright.
