I personally enjoy franchise style and MUT
You right guy. I personally enjoy franchise style and MUT. I bitch about UT but I'm also part of this problem in regards to franchise mode dying while UT happens off. Me and my 2 best friends went hard on squads last year and won a few Super Bowls together. In all honesty, it was a ton of Mut 21 coins fun. I then sit back and understand between us, all adult IT professionals with no children, we probably spent north of $1,000 jointly to"enhance" our experience. I then go and try to play a solo adventure in offline franchise like the old days and see how fucking terrible rather than fun it has become. I guess a part of my disdain for UT is it didn't need to come to this. I'm unhappy and I feel awful that I helped contribute to the passing of this legitimate simulation game that we all grew up enjoying. Honest to god pain in my heart and I regret what I've helped contribute to. EA played hard. I really don't regret the awesome times we had but I believe it ultimately ruined the product.
I played MUT for two years 17-18 and built a 99 ovr team both times without spending and putting a lot of hours into. Today I am a parent myself so that time has cut short and when I buy madden it is only as me and my brothers all play with online along with trash talk each other every weekend and frankly that is why I buy it every year because it keeps us in communication with each other because we are in various nations with families, children etc. But don't be hard on yourself. MUT Players are not the reason why Franchise has been bare and here is evidence: 2K comes with an UT known as myteam which is terribly worst than maddens in the microtransactions department.
You HAVE to spend money to build a decent team or perform for waaaay to many hours. And even then it's difficult because their matchmaking will fit you up with a high ovr group and you've got a lot of 70s. folks pump thousands within that mode, I know Myteam players and they pump 4-5k a year into that mode because you can't build a team without spending. Yet 2K franchise mode is very deep and nothing new has been added in the previous 4 years.
In the past 4 decades 2K hasn't touched franchise: it is full of a numerous amount of menus and options yes but many don't do the job, and nothing new has been inserted on a long time. But before I write madden off I'm eager to see what they do using a new generation of program because the Xbox one / PS4 age has been quite bad for madden, since it was once pretty deep on Ps3/360.
I am with ya guy, and that is how it starts and how they prey on us. When you're a child with no money but plenty of free time you will devote the hours to construct a team on the cheap. When you are older and love video games that you understand time is money and you've got the resources to"skip steps" with money since you don't need 4-5 hours a day to play games however you still wish to compete online. It's a slippery slope and it disturbs me that my pals and I could have had the exact same experience playing 3v3 franchise in the bottom $60 cost in a much more balanced playing field. The entire situation is getting out of hands and I want to help stop it before individuals with less funds and serious gambling/gaming addictions legitimately ruin their own lives to pad EA's profit margins. Maybe I am out there but I overlook the innocent days of gambling for a child as it didn't feel so dirty like everything was about money and market share dominance.
They literally just re-upped the contract that spring. So that being said, EA paid something like $1.5B? Because that is their fastest avenue to profit and ROI from a business standpoint, all their resources are sinking to MUT. Provided that players keep dumping cash into MUT cards else will be said by them. NFL got paid so what do they care today. Even if 80 percent of their fan base wants franchise mode and single player upgrades, if we just spend $60 base cost for Madden 21 hence represent 20 percent of their earnings. guess what? The other 20 percent of individuals represent 80 percent of their revenue since they are spending a lot on card packs. It's not about the majority of people, it is about buy mut coins madden 21 the majority friendos, of the profit pie chart.
