Happy University Survey

The ‘’Happy University’’ survey was conducted to find out the happiness index of the University. There were 21 respondents.  16  of them girls. The Happy University  survey results show measures of happiness in the university. The survey uses questions which show us components do students happy. Most questions are about choice: which university would you prefer, places you would show to the guest, what do you want to change and etc. The survey ranks one university (KazNU). Happy University survey has a data about student happiness and satisfaction. The survey was sent to many students (KazNU)  but  girls show more activity. The results confirm that we are not studying at the happy university. Of course there are not enough data to make index but we can see that every student have own opinion and in most cases they are similar. Some measures can be changed by government. So research show  what exactly measures.  For example 34% of respondents want to change education system. Other 34% student life style.  It was a question ‘what would you prefer to gave  to the University for New Year?’  29%  answer new professors, 38% renovation. We must to know why they don’t satisfied with education system and can it influence to the education degree at all.  Maybe the place where students  study not comfortable for  creative  brainwork. Just 19% of students chose the university where they can do some project. About  interesting. All guys would not refuse to close the university for quarantine.  When  girls would.  It is interesting that all girls faithful to their university.  Boys would prefer KIMEP and KBTU. It was cleared up that a happy student is a student which has food and a lot of money. Answers like this happens mostly.

This survey can be beginning of something more important. If we do it among all university in Kazakhstan we will make Happy University Index! This project will have data about effectiveness of education system and student’s social life. Also it shows which university more happily. Just like Happy Planet Index. It can be very interesting research.
