Он мир создал и человека,

Давид, помазанный на трон,

Усвоив истину святую,

Решил построить богу дом,

Себе отстроив виллу небольшую.

Но, как обычно в мире происходит,

Благое дело требует затрат,

И наш Давид решение находит:

Народ языческий кругом богат...

Доверия еврей, конечно, не внушает,

Язычник вкладываться в дело не желает.

Но не сдается царь, он меч берет

И на язычников евреев он ведет;

Смертям нет счета, выплачен оброк,

Царь преподал язычникам урок.

Бог зрел и видел, руки потирая,

Как царь жег домы, головы рубил,

На божий храм ресурсы собирая;

Отличный план, его благословил.

And God was there, delightfully he watched

Tents burning, heads cut off and people tortured

In David's attempts to raise the necessary funds.

The plan was really good, He did not mind.

И наконец свершилась справедливость -

В Иерусалиме храм из злата, кедра, меди;

Как велика твоя, о Боже, милость,

Что есть у нас богатые соседи!!!

And finally, the justice was in place -

Фундамент - кровь и в жертву - кровь,

Повсюду, бог, твоя любовь!..

You built your temple on the blood
