February 27 Wednesday
I am very glad that today is February 27th, a beautiful day and a beautiful month.
I have signed for e-Gmat. It is my last sprint towards the successful happy ending and the beginning of a different story. Over-viewing free concepts and taking quizzes, I learned several conceptions, such as:
1) modifier (verb-ing, verb-ed, Coma)
Verb-Ing:
a) without coma - I killed a snake sleeping on the bench. (No coma because sleeping modifies snake)
b)with coma - (modifier is after a clause)
I killed a snake, using my knife. (I killed a snake, HOW?)
I killed a snake, saving my sister. (I killed a snake, and this is the result)
Conclusion: Modifier after the clause can modify a NOUN, and a CLAUSE.
(modifier is before the clause)
Using the knife, I killed the snake.
Saving my sister, I killed the snake.
Verb-ed
In this case modifier modifies strictly closest noun: The space ship, designed to withstand low earth orbit for 20 years, cannot be made with poor materials. (R)
The space ship cannot be made with poor materials, designed to withstand low earth orbit for 20 years. (W)
i will share with you the conception of Like next time, for it takes some more time.
In general i think this course will definitely help me improve the SC, CR, and IR. For RC though, I will use different resources, such as fiction writing, economist and newyorker articles, veritas material, and LSAT texts. i am confident about my success. i am aiming 750.
Thanks and good luck
