EU fear to terrorism, why?

The European Union wants Turkey to change its anti-terrorism law which it considers too broad but such diffirences do not mean a deal to grant Turkish citizens visa-free access to Europe will fail, the European parliament chief said on Thursday.

Turkey has long aspired to join the EU, but has often accused Europeans of blocking progress because of bias against the Muslim nation. European officials often say Turkey still falls short of EU demands on basic rights and freedoms. European Parliament President Martin Schultz have visit to official Ankara in 1 September. In this meeting Martin Schultz told that EU wanted to see changes to the anti-terrorism politic by Turkey. In turn, the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said this:

It is obvious than an easing or amelioration in this law will make the security threat grow

  • Turkey seeks visa liberalisation for stopping migrants
  • Day of EU-Turkish meetings show rifts remain
  • Tension rose after European reaction to Turkish coup
  • Since the beginning of the year in Turkey there were 4 major terrorist attacks, which have claimed more than 500 people.
