Does anybody else feel like the current OSRS is superior to the pre-EOC state of RuneScape?
What exactly are the key differences? Well for starters a slew of upgrades are geared towards improving the standard of life and overall player experience without bloating RuneScape. Little changes like the easiest way to make money on runescape simplicity of transportation, the make displays, Graceful armor with stamina pots. It all kind of fills the exact same niche that a ton of the summoning content supplied without making RuneScape feel so overly bloated.
On the topic of summoning, I firmly believe it was and likely still is the very unnecessary ability to be published. Suddenly there was the requirement to loot untradeable charms along with normal money making drops. Suddenly there was no need to remember to bring a BoB for certain skilling and cash making, and then another drainable point method to keep in mind along with prayer. A potential battle partner that ONLY functioned in multi if a great deal of significant PvM was single way anyways which supposed that the most useful familiars would be the ones that were supportive (Bunyip/Unicorn).
It made sure areas feel over crowded when everybody is bringing their best summoning recognizable to Castle Wars. Well they've all been implemented somehow in the present game and done better than the way summoning brought them into the table. Now let's get into equipment, well the majority of the equipment that came back then is at the current game, the majority of the beloved gear. Let's be honest, no one is missing Korasi's sword, even if it was considered quite good.
It provides exactly the same Korasi-esque unique but it needs a magical based assault style bonus to be helpful. Overall the addition of new spells and ranged weapons has made the classic battle triangle very balanced for the most part. Wrath spells certainly gave magic that extra oomph it so desperately needed for the standard spell book. Overall gear selection is quite good.
1 thing I will admit though that RS2 had that would be a lot of fun nevertheless is Dungeoneering as a stand alone ability. I was wavy to itbut eventually realized how much fun the skill was for a few fairly cool perks between best in slot weapons to habit source dungeons, it would have been better when the dungeoneering skill felt tied into the primary game rather than a mini-game in ability format. I've yet to try out the gauntlet in OSRS though I don't know if OSRS has managed to catch that exact same good feeling Dungeoneering rbought. Anyways, just a few thoughts, I've seen other posters say they'd go back to Pre-EOC in a heartbeat however, beyond the further pursuit storylines, I find the present state of game feels more balanced and well thought out than RuneScape at the time back then.
I would agree that it has content that is articles and more. For bossing you can perform anything to raids for experiences that are different. I'd say the matter osrs lacks is as large of a existence that is minigame. Pre eoc had lots of different minigames to play. It is one thing I miss although I'm unsure whether they would ever receive exactly the fastest way to make money being a member osrs exact same amount of use if osrs had of the minigames. There was a huge clan scene round minigames too which kept players that are maxed interested. Currently on OSRS after maxing there is really searching, and there's zero reason if you aren't interested.
