Thanks to the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the country has become a platform for three interdependent concepts – Partnership Program – “Green Bridge”, EXPO-2017 and G-Global platform.
Saltanat Rakhimbekova, the Deputy Head of the ‘Global’ International Secretariat made a report on the implementation of the President’s initiatives such as “green economy”, innovation and EXPO 2017.
First of all, this report considers the initiatives of Elbasy and the actions leading to its implementation. For example, it states an active part of the leading public organizations – ‘Global’ International Secretariat, Coalition “For “green economy and G-Global”, an international organization “Expo & Women”, the “Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” Association (EECSA), Kazakhstan volunteers Alliance and others.
“Since the start of the implementation, the country has made many efforts: the Concept of Transition of Kazakhstan to “green economy” was adopted; the Council on the “green economy” under the President of Kazakhstan was established; G-Global platform started to be developed; Kazakhstan got the right to host EXPO 2017 within the theme “Energy of the Future ” and applied for participation in the a new Global Climate Agreement, announced the Partnership Program “Green Bridge”, the report reads.
Particularly, the report assesses the contribution to the preparations to the EXPO-2017. The document outlines the signing of the Memorandum aimed at comprehensive support of preparations for EXPO 2017; the Memorandum on the annual national and international virtual competition on green innovation ‘Online- Expo-2017’ and a unique project “Virtual Expo-2017″, and other activities aimed to prepare to the exhibition.
As for the contribution to the “Green Bridge” Partnership Program, Saltanat Rakhimbekova reports on the establishment of the international organization integrating the initiatives of “green” non-governmental organizations towards the main objectives of the Partnership Programme.
In addition, the Deputy Head of the International Secretariat tells about the Center “National Academy of green technologies”, which shows today the top fifteen “green” technologies, such as high-efficiency domestic smokeless pyrolysis furnaces and solar collectors, heat and sound insulation and other interior materials. Currently, the Center has become a demonstration platform to support the “green economy” concept, ‘Green Bridge’ Partnership Programme, and the International exhibition “EXPO-2017″.
The report devotes the separate paragraphs describing contribution of women and young people to the implementation of the initiatives and preparation to EXPO-2017.
In conclusion, Saltanat Rakhimbekova outlines the activities for 2016 year and reveals new goals put forward by Ministries, National Companies, NGOs, international organizations, contractors and partners of the exhibition.
Summing up, the reporter cites the President of Kazakhstan: “EXPO-2017 exhibition – global event. Its significance is comparable with the largest economic forums, and its attractiveness – with the most popular sports competitions. The exhibition will attract large investments to our country. Also, “EXPO” will bring Kazakhstan new technology and innovation that will directly affect the development of “green economy”.
