Concept of EXPO-2017 main object presented to Nazarbayev

According to head of KCA International Huang Chiu, Sphere will be a landmark building – a recognizable brand in the world, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or Sydney Opera House.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev received the CEO of Astana EXPO-2017 national company Akhmetzhan Yesimov, Head of KCA International Huang Chiu and CEO of Sembol Construction Fettah Tamince, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of Akorda.

Akhmetzhan Yesimov made progress report on the construction of the upcoming exhibition’s facilities, measures for its promotion, as well as post-exhibition use of the pavilions and territory of EXPO-2017.

The head of KCA International presented the concept of substantive content of the main EXPO-2017 object – the Sphere pavilion, which in terms of architecture and design will be a landmark building, a recognizable brand in the world, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or Sydney Opera House, Huang Chiu said.

In this regard, Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that one of the main purposes of the international exhibition is to learn opportunities of the new energy, and this idea should be widely demonstrated in Kazakhstan’s pavilion.
