What do you think is the most useful piece of clothe in women’s wadrobe ?

Coco Chanel
(Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel) was a French designer, who established Chanel fashion
house. Her influence for fashion of 20 th century was enormous. She was
borrowing elements of traditional male wardrobe and
following the principle of luxurious
simplicity those two factors were the most common features for Chanel’s style (le
luxe de la simplicité). She brought jerkin
(waisted jacket) and little
black dress in women’s fashion. She became famous for branded accessories and
perfume.
She said: “The girl should be
two things: classy and fabulous”.
Q: What do you like in fashion look the most: luxury or simplicity? Why?
Gabriel was born in 1883 but
she claimed that her birth year was
1893. When she was 18 years old she got a job in clothing store. In her spare
time she was singer in cabaret. The favorite songs were «Ko
Ko Ri Ko» and «Qui qu’a vu
Coco», she was nick named Coco because of this songs.
Q: What do you think about giving or getting nick names? Do
you have one? Do you call someone by nickname? If yes what is it?
Gabriel’s appearance was nice
but was not meeting the standards
of that time. When she was wearing gorgeous dresses she looked unnatural. She
believed that its better to have trained body with strong muscles
than to wear corset.
Coco started to compose her own models for herself.
Strict costumes and variety of hats
as a supplement Gabriel prefer more. Her simple elegance attracted first
clients.
Q: Do you
believe that every person have his own standards of human beauty? Why?
Chanel started her first shop
in Paris in 1910. She was selling lady’s hats.
During a year fashion boutique relocated to the Kambon street. And stayed there
till nowadays just in opposite of Ritz hotel.
Q:Tell me your opinion about
the necessity wisely choose the location of
shop? Is it important or not? Why?
Chanel had a lot of friends
amoung men. One of them Artur Cappel introduced her to theatre society. Since
that time Chanel decided to use the famost thetre people in marketing stretegy.
Her clients became actricess and they started advertise her label. In 1912
newspaper Le Mode published article about talanted desiner with plenty of preaty
actiresse's pictures who were wearing Gabriel's hats. That was the brilliant PR
move.
Q: Do you think that wise PR
strategy is important for successful growth of business? And why?
All of you saw at least once in
your life that lady's carry little hand bags in there hands. This kind of bags
calls ridicule. In 1954 Coco claimed that she tired to carry ridicule in her
hands. Besides she said that she always lose them somewhere. And in 1955 Chanel
introduced the small bag which was on the long chain. Women was able now carry
bags with comfortable just put them on their shoulders and forget about them.
But never lose them.
Q: Now question for men. What
kind of bags do you like and why?
In 1921 was borne famost
parfume Chanle # 5. Besides the creator of this fragrance was french perfumer
Ernest Bou. He was the russian emigrant and he alow Coco to choose any
fragrance from the list from1 to 5 and from 20 to 24. And she chose bottle # 5.
As you all know that Coco Chanel made small black dress popular. The secret of
this one piece is that woman is able to wear it during the day time casually
but when she decorates her look with accessories it turns in gorgeous evening
dress. At the same time there were some rumors about that black dress. Some
people believed that Chanel was wearing this kind of dress as reminder about
her dead beloved Arture Kapel. Since she was not married with him after his
death she was not allowed to wear potentials.

Q: Tell me your opinion do you
believe that it can be true. That the piece of clother can be popular in the
same way as car. I would like to her both man and woman.
In 1939 started the war. And
Chanel closed her business. In 1940 her nephew was captured by Nazi. Chanel
asked baron Hanse Gueter fon Dinklage to help to her nephew. Finally he was
liberated.
But the prize was huge. As said
Wikipedia there was Hall Vogan famost journalist who claimed that Chanel
cooperated with Germany government during world was 2. He wrote the book (Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco
Chanel’s Secret War) in which he insisted that Coco not only provide Germans
with French inside information but moreover she was official german scout.
Q: Do you believe that in order
to save close person people can run any risks?
War was ended but Chanel’s
hardships didn’t. She was blamed as nazi accomplice and was arrested for Collaboration.
In 1944 she was liberated but with one condition. She had to leave France.
Chanel moved to Switzerland.
In 1954 when Gabriel was 71
years old she returned to Fashion world. Coco presented her new collection. However the fame and respect which she had before war period came
to her only when tree seasons passed.
From 1950 till 1960 Chanel
сooperted with different Hollywood studious. She saw for Odry Hapbern and liz
Thailor. There is Brodway musicle Coco.
Coco dead at 1971 because of
heart attack.
