Today, the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Almaty region and the Department of Religious Affairs of the Almaty region held a meeting with representatives of religious associations in order to form an anti-corruption culture.

The event was attended by representatives of religions, First Deputy Head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Almaty region Zhumabayev Zhandos, member of the information and educational staff Kelemseit Ermek and representatives of local executive bodies.

Such a belief can occur through the moral and spiritual development of a person. Mosque, church, temple, synagogue and other religious buildings are the centers of moral education. I would like to ask you to put into practice a permanent explanation that corruption is a sin in the performance of religious rites, sermons," he said, noting the special place of representatives of religion in the prevention of corruption and the formation of spiritual and moral state, and offering to conduct explanatory anti-corruption events for visitors to Friday prayers in all mosques of the region on a regular basis.

This proposal was unanimously supported by the imams, who stressed that honesty is important in our traditional religion.

"Since corruption is blamed not only by laws, but also by the postulates of religions, we resort to the help of the religious community in the formation of an anti-corruption culture. We are confident that the high morality and authority of the clergy will help make an invaluable contribution to strengthening the cultural values of the people," the speaker concluded.

It should be noted that the Department for Combating Corruption in the Almaty region on an ongoing basis conducts explanatory work with all target groups, including with the involvement of representatives of religions, on the principles of integrity.
