A PREVENTIVE MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE ASSETS OF THE KARATAL DISTRICT OF THE ALMATY REGION

Today, the first deputy head of the Department of the Agency for the Almaty region Zhandos Zhumabayev, Head of the Prevention and Integrity Department A.Sadykov held a preventive meeting in the akimat of the Karatal district to consider the implementation of anti-corruption policy by local executive bodies.

The participants of the working meeting were the akim of the Karatal district, the management staff of the akim's office and the akims of rural districts.

The main speaker was the first Deputy head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service) for the Almaty region, Zhandos Zhumabayev.

The first deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the Almaty region told the audience about the activities of the Anti-Corruption Service for 8 months of this year and explained the novelties of the anti-corruption legislation.

As the first deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Service noted during the working meeting:

"The work of the akimat should be aimed at prompt and effective response to the appeals of all citizens.A "hearing state" is an open and transparent state. Therefore, the state apparatus should first of all take into account the opinion of the population in all spheres of activity as much as possible."

Along with this, Zhandos Zhumabayev outlined the weak organization of work on preventive measures, a formal approach to conducting an internal analysis of corruption risks, anti-corruption monitoring, and also pointed out the lack of full-fledged information on the official website of the akimat of the district.

Following the meeting, an anti-corruption video was shown and recommendations of a preventive nature were made, as well as answers to questions of interest were given.
