79-year-old Uzbek President Karimov allegedly died

Mass Media report Uzbekistan President Karimov died at 79 years of brain hemorrhage, according to Fergana News Agency, 112.international reports.According to Fergana, Islam Karimov died at 3 - 4 p.m Tashkent time (13:30 Kiev time).At the same time RIA Novosti 'citing the Office of the President of Uzbekistan has not confirmed the information about Karimov's death. According to RIA, the President's state is stable.Uzbek President Islam Karimov, was hospitalized on Sunday, August 28, with a brain hemorrhage, which happened on Saturday morning, according to his daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva in her Instagram.

Islom Abdugʻaniyevich Karimov (born 30 January 1938) was the first President of Uzbekistan, in office since 1990.Karimov was placed in an orphanage in Samarkand at birth, growing up to study economics and engineering.[1]He became an official in the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, becoming the party's First Secretary in Uzbekistan in 1989. On 24 March 1990 he became President of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Karimov's election to the Uzbek Communist Party resulted after his predecessor Rafiq Nishonov failed to quell inter-ethnic clashes and instability in the Fergana Region.He declared Uzbekistan an independent nation on 31 August 1991 and subsequently won Uzbekistan's first presidential election on 29 December 1991, with 86% of the vote. The election was called unfair,[citation needed] with state-run propaganda and a falsified vote count, although the opposing candidate and leader of the Erk Liberty PartyMuhammad Salih, had a chance to participate.
