13 days more than 20 destinations, entire Malaysia [VIDEO]

Malaysia, amazing country with colourful culture and various traditions. Official languages are malay, english, and chinese with tamil also spoken widely. In spite of fact that English language is official language of Malaysia, people speak it differently. I think nowhere else in the world you can find a variety of accent such in Malaysia.

I spent about 4 years in Malaysia, studying, working, travelling, experiencing things what local and foreigners do. When time came to arrive back to Kazakhstan, I decided to take annual leave from work and travel around Malaysia. We rented a car for one month. It costed us about $250 in total.

Unofficially - Twin Towers

We drew our own map, highlighted destinations and were ready for the journey. Obviously we started from the capital - Kuala Lumpur.

Actually, there was no concrete plan where we will be going, we were picking up cities randomly according to our GPS.

People in Malaysia are very kind, but sometimes racist which is common in accordance with the situation in Malaysia when every second person is a foreigner. I believe you know that all malays are muslims.

International Islamic University in Gombak. Gombak is a suburb of KL. Here students are provided with everything for their education and daily life. For the record, in IIUM people study not only Islamic studies, but the subjects like in other International Universities.

Understanding that muslims shouldn't do anything but only pray is a bit abnormal. Such us other people, muslims in Malaysia also do sports, entertainment, travelling as long as it's not forbidden.

Competition was in Sunway University

By the way I got lots of medals in Taekwondo competitions (national and international), and became state champion of Selangor. But this writing is not about that, it's about our trip.

During our time in Malaysia we had a chance to attend Malay wedding ceremony. In fact, it was very similar to our kazakh traditional wedding party. Even the word ''adat'' which means habit in malay language is exactly kazakh word "әдет".

The moment when we got lost but the view was awesome, couldn't stop myself to take a picture.

Can't say that our journey was perfect and smooth, we spent one night in the aiport and another inside our car. Without an A/C it's terrible, but we survived.

Unquestionably, we were patriots of our country (we're still partriots). Any foreigner we met was recorded to the camera and said: ''Salem Kazakhstan!'' (video you can find in my youtube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UC2n5GUJhWTab-XIkEyviSZg)

We've been in some places where even kazakhs never been before. We met a very generous person named Dauit. He let us to spend one night in his aparment for free. Actually, he works in one of the hotels in Fraser's Hill. He noticed that we don't have enough money, and the price for one room in his Hotel is really not for us. So he offered his room. We were really glad.

You might thought that this is one of the pop stars of Malaysia? Naah, he's just a village resident. In this village anyone can come to the stage and sing a karaoke song. There is a screen on the ground.

Malaysia is famous with its beautiful mosques. This is Cristal Mosque in Kuala Terengganu.

Some mosques are stylish, some in chinese style.

In Malaysia every malay regardless the gender knows how to read Quran.

Sun, golden sand, and natural juice. All of this can be found in Malaysia.

Despite that beaches are free in Malaysia, there are some paid onces. This swimming pool belongs to one of the best Hotels in Penang Island. Actually, to enter the pool you should reserve the room, otherwise you can't enter. However, we pretended to be going to the cafeteria and jumped to the pool.

Lotus Desaru Beach Resort.

Capital of Pahang state - Kuantan. Here heavy rain started, it caused flood and 21 person disappeared. Luckily, we were passing that region and didn't stop there.

Malaysia is a country of ports. Most of exporting and importing products delivered by ports.

In 16th century Portuguese entered Malacca city of Malaysia exactly with this ship.

Most of the parts of the ship preserved. Including weapons, documents, and other stuff.

Portuguese captain's room in the ship.

This guy has been travelling around the world and while he was crossing Malaysia's border he had only RM3 (265 tenge). By playing the quitar and singing songs he gets some money for his trip.

On the way to Johor Bharu we almost crossed the terriroty line to Singapore. In order to enter Singapore you need a visa which we didn't have. Then we were stopped by Immigration officers. Kazakh students in Malaysia know the meaning of that.

After Immigration let us go we decided to celebrate it. It is not the Universal like in Singapore, but we were satisfied with it.

Art street in Malaysia.

In nutshell, I don't regret I chose Malaysia for my studies. Initially, I planned to be there only 8 month, but stayed for 4 years. I believe there is a reason for that. So there are few moments from our trip:
