Покопался у себя в архиве, нашел старое ессе, которое писал чтоб меня взяли в каллидж. Довольно убого, конечно, но спустя 5 лет, писать я лучше не стал, так что по-барабану, выкладываю это, для начала. Тема ессе довольна занятная.
If you could imagine an entirely different life from the one you lead, what would you want to be or do?
I lead a normal, average life. My dream life is to have a talent and be a famous writer, musician or a director. I admire books, music and movies. Art makes existence in this planet less painful.
My favourite book writer is Ernest Hemingway. He had an interesting life, went to war and lived all around the world. I respect writers because they can create the imaginary worlds and great characters which might exist only on paper but can have a great influence on us. For example, when you have a special particular thought about something, you think it is only unique to you. But then you open a book and suddenly you find out that many years ago someone have already had an exactly the same thought as you. He had even written it down so you can read it many years after. That is what I call friendship between a writer and his reader. Isn’t that great? I think it is.
With music it is also very hard to pick a favourite artist. When I was a teen I use to listen to rock and rap music. I still like both genres but now I adore classic, jazz and soul music. The music of Mozart and Bach could reach to your soul. When you listen to it you feel that you are alive human being and have something which is very hard to put in words. May be it is like love, you can’t see it but you can feel it. I would want to be able to express my emotions through music and create something which would remain for ages.
All of us like movies, so am I. I use to watch a lot of movies when I was at school. First it didn’t matter what to watch, I use to watch all of them: old movies, scary movies, b-movies, action movies, dramas and comedies. Now I don’t have much time to watch movies, but it remains to be one of my favourite activity (if one could call sitting behind the screen an activity). My favourite movie is Godfather part 2, but my favourite director is Quentin Tarantino. I admire his movies because for me they are just beautiful, funny and smart.
Cinema is an ultimate art form which combines all elements of art. Script and plot embodies writing while motion picture embodies painting. A good movie can not exist without good soundtrack which is written by musicians. That is why cinema is an ultimate art form and very popular among all groups of people.
For the reasons above I think it would be wonderful to become one of those persons who create art.
