Model UN motivates youth to learn and teaches them about world issues. It is a way to become an active, more concerned global citizen, while in this era of globalization, being globally aware is more important than ever.

Furthermore Model UN builds confidence and leadership and diplomatic skills . MUN is an exercise in research, public speaking, and teamwork. These are skills that you will need throughout your career, and MUN gives you a chance to practice them while you’re a student. You can also leverage your MUN experience and network to get into college and find jobs in this field.

But above all Mun is a CHANCE given to every person to speak! Your voice is being heard your ideas are going global! It is your chance to dream, travel the world, gain lifetime experiences and get out of your comfort zone!

The knowledge that youth learn in the class is not enough to create a tough individual where every young man are dreamed of in the real world. There should another skill had by young person as the tool in practicing what they have learned in class into a real world. This is the where MUN taking place in providing all of needs required by the young person. In it's development, MUN already being a good platform for all student to improving their skill in diplomacy as well as in understanding the real issue facing by International society.

In other hand, the student will be trained how to do a good research, collecting all of information needs for the conference. Unconsciously, it will giving a new understanding and perspective of certain issue based on the point view from the state that their are represent. Lastly, the most valuable thing student can find in every MUN is the new friends they can have, enlarging their network. Where its a good place for sharing your ideas, as the new source for student for new information and many more. Trust me its addicted, no wonder there is a virus named MUN virus where its attacked the student to always attend MUN anywhere and everywhere.

Model United Nations is more than an extra-curricular activity. It's a "process" where one is able to develop his or her capabilities through debates, negociations and public-speaking. MUN forges your personality and provides essential diplomatic values to the youths.

Do note that some of these explanations are coming from my own experience and benefits that I've been getting.

**1. Model UN is not only teaching and improving our English, but it teaches us further on how to speak properly and diplomatically. This is especially vital for EFL countries student like I am, whom inevitably also involved into globalization era nowadays as English becomes more important ways of communication than ever. Thus, Model UN becomes the most appropriate medium to sharpen our diplomatic speaking skill.**

**2. Model UN comprises the practice of research, academic writing, public speaking, and diplomacy, and team work. Those are important elements that students shall possess since early age. These skills are not only useful for future career (both work and advance education) but also to the present days. Students are habituating themselves not to take things for granted.**

**3. Model UN that simulates real UN experience enables students insight of how the world works and cooperates, in fun way. It makes student becoming more aware towards multidimensional world issues and since it is fun and interactive, it is more likely to stick.**

**4. Last, but not least, for future investment, MUN could potentially leverage you into college and job. Most of them would demand you to show your leadership and team work skills, these are inherently in MUN both when you become a delegate/committee director or when you become a Model UN organizer. Moreover, the networking you have established could also potentially help you too, since be it the alumna or friend who has been working at your desired company/student at your desired college, they may help you directly to get accepted/recommendation or indirectly by exchanging information and tips. Thus, enabling you to have an excellent resume as well as real excellent capability.**
