Do you agree or disagree? Form an opinion.** 1. Diffenrent words - Should the government be able to block certain content that it deems inappropriate? 2. Brainstorm Support - Tremendous amount of adult content on the internet that is widely available to children Refute - Censoring the internet restricts an individual's freedom of speech - May lead to a slower transfer of information, i.e. blocking certain news sites would mean internet users would not have as many outlets to receive news - What is offensive to one person may not be to another 3. Type of response - Refute 4. Thesis - it is not agreed that the government should be permitted to censor the internet, even in the pursuit of protecting young people from offensive content. **Technology has made people even more anti-social. Do you agree?** 1. Other words - Because of all forms of technology people have stopped communicating with others 2. Brainstorm Support - the internet, video games, tv watching, etc encourages people to spend their time in isolation, interacting with a machine Refute - A lot of technology actually encourages people to interact with others, i.e. mobile phones, networking websites - People are not more anti-social, they are just communicating in different ways, i.e. instead of meeting face to face in the office, instant massaging can be used. 3.
