At the last lecture we discussed about Phonetic SDs and graphical EMs. Also, we studied how distinguish them in the sentences. They are: Rhyme is the repetition of identical ending sound combination. F.e: might-right. Rhythm is the repetition of similar sound stressed and unstressed syllables in poetry. F.e:The curfew tolls the knell of parting day. Alliteretion is repetittion of similar consonant sounds to impart a melodic effect to an utterance. F,e: spring, sudden and sentence. Assonance is repetition of similar vowel sounds to impart a melodic effect to an utterance. F.e: appear and mean, gain and brain. Onomatopoeia is the combination of speech sounds imitating these produced in nature by people and animals. It splits into 2 types. They ar: Direct and Indirect. F.e: buzz and splish-splash downhill. Graphon is the itentionak word combination graphical shape violation used to reflect authentic pronunciation. F.e: No-o I don't think so. Italics is sloping letters used for to show foreign words and to produce the effect of emphasis.It shows different feelings and emotions. F.e: He seemed to want people to dislike him. Capitalization is some common nounswritten with capital letters. F.e: "WILL YOU BE QUIET" he bawled. Hyphenetion is the reflection of rhymed manner in which a word is uttered. F.e: I really do n-o-t agree with you!
