# How I got a culture shock from my own country.

There is a beautiful country in the world named Kazakhstan. This way I used to live my entire life before going abroad and coming back to my country. I spent about 4 years in Malaysia. After I came back, everything has changed. I startehd looking at things differently, started think in a different way.

So why I got a culture shock from my own country? When I was in Malaysia I got used to the comfort there as well as to people smiling. Therefore I used to smile back, and after some time I started to smile first to them. It became as a habit. When I came back to Kazakhstan, I was in the bus, it was a bit crowded as usual. One young girl stepped on my foot and turned back to me. Eventually, I smiled with old habit. The girl was like: ''Are you crazy or what?''.

This was abnormal to smile to people who you don't know in Kazakhstan. Well I am not saying people are not friendly in Kazakhstan. How would I say so? It's my motherland. I am just saying the truth. By the way we are one of the most rare countries where you can find tram and trolleybus.

Another thing that shocked me is unwritten law about asking people. You might be thinking asking money or a favour? No. Just asking a question. When I was in the bank in Kazakhstan I asked how can I do a particular transfer. Employee in the bank explained to me, but I couldn't get it and asked again to confirm. However the lady was so upsed as if I did something wrong to her and said: ''Can't you understand? I have already said to you that blah blah blah...'' P/S: it wasn't Alfa Bank's employee, I just found this picture.

My culture shock continued with the woman in a bus stop. Me and couple of my friends were talking in a bus stop about our own things. Well there was nothing offensive or abusive towards anyone. Knowing nothing we were having a good talk, suddenly the woman staying near to us said: ''Hey, don't you talk loud! Are you deaf?'' Damn this is was a time when I realized I am back in Kazakhstan.

I decied to finish my culture shock with pleasant occasion. You won't believe me but it's fact that I couldn't stop myself looking at people in Kazakhstan. Notice that I said people, not only girls. People were so beautiful in Kazakhstan after Malaysia. Here again I don't want to say Malaysians are ugly. Probably you know how many time Malaysians participated and were awardees in Miss Universe. Nevertheless, Kazakhstani people were so glorious. The way they walk, their style, everything was jus amazing.

Now I've been in Kazakhstan almost a year and get used to every normal and abnormal things happening in Kazakhstan. I believe this is the reason to love your own country because of this kind of odd things.
